Adrienne and Rob's May wedding was a rich celebration of community, family, and beauty. This wedding glowed with glittery mauve details, layers of tissue-paper petals (ranunculus! peonies! some kind of white blossom!), and an abundance of bright sparkly light.

Shannon + Anthony's August-Wind Wedding

Shannon and Anthony were married in August 2016. Their celebration featured the best bouquets (guys! they had peas in them!), handmade macramé, fox-fire flower crowns, rose-gold corners and hot August-force winds. From well-penned vows to the sparkliest dance party—and every little cheer and celebration in between—this wedding was one of my favourites.

Elisabeth and Rylan were married August 3rd, 2019 in Rylan’s parents’ Comox Valley backyard—a special place for both. This rainbow seaside garden hardly needed decorating, but these two wove coastal, beachy touches throughout the day to make it their own. They chose rich colours for their wedding party, a decision of which I’m always a big fan. But the thing I’ll remember most about this wedding is the words shared by their friends’ speeches.

Meredith and Derek’s wedding day began at a garden-lined church in East Vancouver, where worn pews sat neatly on weathered brown carpet. After witnessing vows and singing hymns, everyone wound along on Hwy 99 to a Squamish reception, which was tucked into fog-lined mountainscapes at Furry Creek. From moody blue horizons to good rock texture, Meredith and Derek’s portraits are some of my favourites of 2019.
