In July, Matt and I travelled to France and Italy. It was hot and romantic and held all the frustrations of travelling (train anxiety, map confusion, hunger, a lack of routine) and all its delight (long days without plans, long walks on new roads, long evenings at new tables). These images captured the majority of what I felt drawn to: icons, architecture, sunflowers, combed hills, saints, corners of our various homes, my travel companion.
