My name is Blythe Kingcroft, and I want to give you images that are timeless. With this in mind, I approach wedding photography with an eye for small moments, a fondness for narrative, and a curiosity for that which has helped you build your relationship. I'm drawn to natural light, west-coast colours, film aesthetic, and landscape texture. In all my work, I aim to capture ordinary beauty.
At twelve-years-old, I inherited my Grandpa's old film camera. My father taught me how to use it and I've been documenting life ever since. By 2010, I turned this love of imagery into a part-time job, which has grown into the Vancouver-based shop it is today.
In addition to wedding photographer, I am a graduate student. I have an MA in English Lit and am currently completing my MA in Theological Studies. In my spare time I am an avid reader and writer, coffee and wine enthusiast, sea-wall runner, amateur vegetarian cook, houseplant gardener, and wife and partner to Matt Kingcroft (that’s him, hiding behind my oversized hat, on your left).
Since 2010, I have had over one-hundred clients and edited over thirty-thousand wedding photographs. In addition to wedding photography I am available for family, newborn, maternity, and lifestyle portraits, as well as video work.
